In the latest catalogue 2020-2 is a LionChief SP Cab Forward that looks too good to me. Any thoughts on where they came up with the illustration from?

Theses were produced with TMCC back in 2006. Lionmaster cab forward
It will be interesting to see if they do the stars on the driver centers again ( click on the first photo).
I used to own one of these:

Thanks for the update. Although active in the hobby in 2006 I don't remember this model. It seems to have more stand alone detail than the Big Boy.
I’ve been looking at these models too because the preview illustrations seemed to be of a scale size model whereas the price, though steep, was below Lionel’s MSRP for the Legacy scale cab forwards they did about 6 years ago. A little research on the earlier TMCC Lionmaster version disclosed that it was nicely proportioned.
I have no Lionmaster models but these are tempting in that you could realistically expect the tooling to be the same as Lionel used before but with different paint schemes. As such they are not obviously dwarf versions of the scale models, which Is what the recent MTH sub-scale cab forwards looked like to me. However, they are not in the Legacy control system part of the catalog and have some version of Lionchief BT control I am not familiar with.
It’s intriguing that Lionmaster steamers have dual motors on an articulated frame but without Legacy features I don’t know that I’d conclude it’s worthwhile to add something just because I have been after a gray boiler cab forward for several years. Am willing to be persuaded otherwise.
Charles Ros early buy price for the Cab Forward is the same as it was for the Big Boy LionChief loco - very tempting.
