Exciting news! I hope this helps hobby shops that don't have a website sell more! It would be great if Lionel and Atlas O could implement this great feature!
We have spent several hours and updated our product locator to show only what we have in inventory as of today, March 9, 2022.....and we believe it is 98% accurate. Beware of other dealers that only hit the "update" button and NOT actually update the individual items, thus listing items they too are long sold out of.
They got it working last night. It is a valuable tool indeed. However as JR Junction points out it is only as good as the dealer makes it by keeping their inventory updated in the system. During the pandemic I was searching for some items and called multiple dealers that never updated their inventory. With one in particular I saw multiple items that I wanted to order. I finally reached him by phone and he didn't have any of them. "So what do you actually have in stock that is actually listed here?" Everything he had, which wasn't much, I already owned.

Looks like the hosting server got moved to Baltimore operating from a new ISP. The IP address that the product locator used to operate from is no longer active.
