Dick Wolfsie, a popular TV personality here in Indianapolis, stopped by MrMuffin'sTrains last Thursday and filmed several segments that were broadcast last Saturday from 6-10am on WISH-TV 8 here in Indianapolis. We opened at 10 Saturday and we had the largest crowd ever as a result of the TV show.
We had advanced notice for Thursday, so we had a lot of people in the shop when he arrived, and one of our customers, Dan, was helping us run trains. He was using an IPad and running seven trains on the second level of our layout. Dick was intrigued with the technology and wanted Dan to do a little demonstration on camera.
We got Mrs Muffin on camera too for the first time talking about her scenery on the layout.

If you haven't yet installed MTH's WiFi on your layout you really need to try it. It is much easier to use than the DCS remote. For example - do you get errors like "engine not found?" - with the WiFi app, they get found! Some how the communication works better. I can take an engine that's been on the shelf for years, put it on the track, do a read with my IPad and it comes up! We had a customer last Saturday that wanted to see an Erie Triplex run and I grabbed a first release engine - what was that like 10 years ago - put it on the track and it started up with the IPad.
Pretty terrific, MTH!
