Let's see your night trains.

Here is one of mine:

LC+ Jersey Central Pacific and Postwar Lionel traditional passenger cars.

My Scrounger's Blue Comet, compared to the original very valuable Standard Gauge Blue Comet in mint condition with boxes. LOL, Arnold

Night "Time Action on the Mainline" on the Great Northeastern Railway.

Standing with the camera in Ghost Train Park, a corner of our O gauge, three rail model railroad, you see both long freight trains and swift passenger trains pass. The freight is pulled by a 1953 vintage 736 Lionel Berkshire locomotive. The passenger train is pulled by an MTH, Protosound 2, RailKing, PRR K-4s. Click on the link, below.

When I started this topic, I remembered a really cool song in the movie Apollo 13 called Night Train. I couldn't remember the singer so I just Googled it.

The singer was James Brown, and the songwriter was James Horner, who wrote the great instrumental music and soundtrack for the movie, which is one of my all time favorite movies, right up there were with Field of Dreams.

If you like the song like I do, you can play it on YouTube while running your trains with the lights out. Arnold

Thank you, Arnold,

The track is not protected at all; it just lays outside in the open summer and winter and for almost 30 years now. And there is sun, rain (lots of it) and snow (some) where I live.

Regards

Fred

Fred, do you ever run trains on your outdoor layout in the rain or snow?

I would think electricity and water don't mix well.
