On certain older PS2 engines, there is this problem where the smoke unit dims the lights, and there are rewiring instructions around somewhere. I did the rewire on my PRR Atlantic, (andI will take a look inside that), but I don't really remember exactly what was involved and would rather not reverse engineer. Does anyone have the instructions for the rewire I am talking about? I searched and was not able to find it. Thanks!

There is no rewiring for what you state, unless your talking about flickering light with early PS-2 5V boards with MUX. The mod is more than wiring. G
GGG, thanks for replying. Yes, that is the problem I am talking about. There used to be a wiring diagram/instructions for that floating around the forum. I was hoping someone has the diagram/instructions.
PENNSY, I remember it being in a post of MTH tricks and tips. It was one of several contributions from the great repair people on the forum. There was also a traction tire list in the post. I just can't remember the title of the post. I know it involved wrapping a heavier gauge ground wire around a wire going to the MUX board and swapping blue ground wires on the main board. But like GGG said there was more to it if those steps did not fix the issue.
