The Tinplate Bug Bites Again! | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

A few years ago, I acquired a Tinplate Traditions 384 B&O RTR set, as well as a Lionel Red Comet reissue. I joined the OGRR forum and was on my way! My mom then gave me my grandpa's American Flyer Silver Bullet, so I've been in 'Gilbert Flyer' mode for awhile. I then saw the 'O' gauge Blue Streak and knew that I needed to have one! I ran that train more than any other I've put under the tree! Great sounds and smoke! Looks like tinplate and Flyer will be sharing space together. Here are three photos from Christmas 2012.

Nice pics and a nice set.

I was thinking about springing for one of these about a year or more ago (it was in the 2010 or '11 LCT catalog) when the new catalog came out with the Red Comet Set. Decided to go for that one instead.

Can't go wrong with those Vandy locos. A real classic look for tin.
