I have only been up there once, but they were extremely helpful. While in the store I overheard them say "what would you like to do" to customers on phone and in store. I mean that in a good way, not they are sending out broken stuff. But felt like they will do anything to resolve the issue.

I will be heading up there in a few weeks, maybe something I can look into for ya let me know.

The Train Station is a great example of an honest hobby shop. They've provided excellent repair service to me and have a great collection of postwar Lionel at good prices.

The good thing, in this case, is they have a VERY extensive collection of Lionel parts - prewar, postwar and even up to late 80's modern era. They even have replacement RailSounds 1.0 boards, which is pretty impressive. More likely than not, you will be able to get what you need there at a good price.

Dave and staff will do right by you or break their backs trying to do so.  I would suggest, however, that you call rather than deal on-line unless you are exactly sure of what you are looking for in terms of parts.  They have a lot of older stuff, including parts, that doesn't always show up on the website inventory.  For example, I was looking for the Lionel granary kit from the mid60's a couple of years ago and mentioned it in passing to Dave.  He went upstairs and came back with a dusty NIB kit.  It was not listed on the website but he knew right where it was.  Not many shops have that sort of "old" inventory.
