A year or so ago I got this on DaBay, MTH, interesting price, un-assembled, no boards, but 95% otherwise.
Unpainted boiler and tender, painted chassis, trucks, etc. It had been a "test mule" or some such thing, or so
it was claimed. Again it's mostly complete (I'm missing the front coupler cover, I think, and I doubt that all the screws are present),
but the details aren't attached, and it won't run - of course. That is one big motor.
I plan an ERR Cruise Commander for the tender, no sound, at least for now, wire the headlight and backup lights, and the Protocoupler,
but I do not plan to connect the smoke unit as I will leave the loco unpainted (but Dullcoted) - my own "Pilot" or "Engineering" Century Dreyfus.
Can't foresee any problems. Nope, not a one.
