The magazine's feature great articles and superb photos. The engines and rolling stock are so realistic and we'll made. Choices abound from track and detail manufacturer's, scenery choices are so realistic.
This is a great time for our hobby, enjoy it, play with it, tinker at it, praise its value. After 50 years of playing with trains it just gets better everyday.

I agree with you. I got my first Lionel 520 set back in 1957 for Christmas and 60 years later have more trains than I imagined. I added TMCC and DCS around 200-2003 then I added the Legacy system about 3 years ago and at first used to hate (the people at Lionel's ears must have been smoking lol) it now I know how to use it and really like it.
For me the best part of the hobby is meeting good people. I'm not a psychiatrist, but we may be introverts when we choose to be and when we choose we may ask people to share our hobby or accept invitations to work on and visit their layouts. There are so many segments of our hobby. We may choose to excel in one or two and go bare bones on others. Or excel in all segments. It doesn't matter, we're working on our layouts to our levels of satisfaction. If something is on our mind and working on our railroad doesn't help, we can leave it for a few days or a few weeks or a few months. It will be there exactly as we left it when we return.
