J daddy, id rather spend my time working on my stuff than fixing everyone elses. I am going to get out of the mainstream repairing for a while and just build layouts

Amazing! What a wonderful collection of everybody's favorite areas to be in! What I love the best is the similarities amongst us...did you notice how many benches had multiple projects underway? Seems like I never have less than two things going at once!
I knew you'd say something. However...I've used my bench and tools a lot to build buildings and do repairs. I just like a neat area to work in. Matt

Well, you guys asked for a workbench photo - So I could not fit it in one picture, because I have things that prevent me from backing up to take pictures. I decided to include them in the picture, because they are "part" of the workbench. The picture of steel boxes is a small fraction of the bins of parts on hand. Probably close to 1300 separate bins of some sort. My latest train project is on the bench, so despite the electrons floating nearby, you can see I do train work on these benches too!
The train is ready for some Electric Railroad stuff, but I'm not sure what to buy, The engine was in pieces (literally) when I purchased it. After super glue and a paint job it has a whole new character. It is a Pulmore :-), and I would like to add sound. Can anyone suggest the proper ERR components for me?

Greetings Everyone,
Here is my "Work Space". Not to be confused with "Safe Space". It has served me well and I've ruined more stuff here than I care to remember. Oh yeah, I've fixed a few things here too. This is where I build those LED Lighted Police Cars.

My other work bench. 95% of all the work gets done with the tools in/on this work bench, every day.

Love the paint job on your engine. But I have to know....what's the roll of TP for? Is that for when things go very, very wrong?

I used to work for a boss that taught me a lot. He was a real task master and insisted on your work space being clean, every day. If he found your desk a mess, he had a cow. If he found your company car a mess, he would take it away from you. He didn't care if all you did at night was sweep everything into a desk drawer, but your desk had to be clean when you left for the day...period. He was hard to work for at times, but he instilled discipline and made most of the people who worked for him better and more successful at their jobs. It was easier to just do it his way than try to get by with things.
The point of this is that I think of him every time I use my bench, work on the layout, and clean things up when I am done. It sure makes you want to start work the next time when you have a clean, organized environment greeting you. Just my two cents worth.

Here I am in the garage/workshop outside, this is where I build the large modellers for myself I'm not good enough to build for other people I don't add a lot of details. When it gets to hot I move into the house the winters are very mild here so the cold doesn't stop me. Notice that large homemade table behind me a must for large models and plenty of light. Once this area was full of Hot Rods and Speed equipment not anymore it's trains now for the rest of my life. Roo.
