I have learn that I am type 2 diabates the hard way.By means of going from the job to the hospital.I have to admit I was scaired. Never had pain in my chest before. While I was in bed tried to keep cool.I thought about all the trains I had ho to o gauge. All the real trains I had seen as a kid.It was almost like watching a movie of memories. My first try at making a layout. Now that I back home and on the job.The trains will become a way to get rid of unwanted stress.Along with a few other things I have to change. But I can do it.And last thing if you have a love one.Tell them you love them you never know. With that being said I now look forward to working on my layout and running trains.

Glad to hear that you are going to be OK.

Glad that you are better and back at home an work.
You are so right, something like this really brings home what is important - family and loved ones. Because we do not know what tomorrow brings, live life every day as it may be your last - because one day it will.
I often am reminded of a little poem I once read:
"Yesterday is history,
Tomorrow is a mystery,
Today is a gift,
That's why its called the present!"
Now, go run some trains and let the worries of the day evaporate.
Happy railroading,
Don
I am glad you dodged a bullet. Follow the doctors' orders, NS, with this wake-up call, try to get as much out of life as possible. (do as I say, not as I do)
Yes, do as suggested, take care of yourself and watch what you eat.
Take care and listen to the doctor. I know it hit you like a ton of bricks. My first introduction was when my doctors meter could go any higher. Better eating, exercise and prayer helped me get through it where I got off the needle and now just use medication.
Hospitals have a way of bringing clarity to life! Glad your doing well.

You are so right! I was in the hospital with Pneumonia... awful two weeks, gut when I got out I notice my ulcer and stress were long gone... Have to put things in perspective.
Best time of the day was when the kids came to visit after school and we played Go Fish!
Wow, glad you're doing better. My wake up call came 5 yrs ago with a very serious blood infection. A month in the hospital, 6 transfusions and the priest giving me Last Rites sure turned my world around. Take care my friend.

Thats when the presure kicked in.So I was on my way to hospital.Well after that I have to stay away from some types of foods.

I have not seen a picture if a train like this in a while. This means he is hauling tail. They used to do this in cartoons with trains.A great way to show speed.
Best wishes for a full recovery! I too thought of trains when I was in the hospital.
