It all depends on how and where you are using them as well as your own personal preferences. I only have two Miller signs and they have worked out well for me. I was wondering the same thing you talked about and decided to try it out. The first sign I purchased was the hotel sign and then after I liked the look and size I went with the Shamrock hotel sign. One word of caution is that you want to keep the times you plug in  the sign to it's power socket down to a minimum amount as they are delicate. Once put in place then relax and the signs seem to be reliable.

We have a number of Miller signs of various types and have been pleased. The billboards work well atop buildings as well as stand-alone. Suggest that you try one and, if you are into structures, they make a large number that will easily fit into windows and look great.

Chris totally backs up his products.

Sorry that I can't send better pictures. This is a Mayberry barber shop that we recently finished; is O-scale. I-cloud has captured our best pictures and I haven't taken time to figure out how to get them back.

I have one billboard size sign - Railway Express - which you can see in the background on the photo.  I think the size is just right. you can always experiment with placements to get what you want. A smaller sign would be more prominent toward the front of the scene, and a larger sign would be made less prominent by placing it farther back in the scene.
