Here's my new cardstock interlocking tower. I was inspired by Howard Lamey's Tribute to Tinplate site, old tinplate towers and photos of the old Boylan Tower that used to stand near downtown Raleigh, NC. As my layout is sort of a melding of toy and scale trains, tinplate inspired realistic structures seems like a good idea.

that looks great!
nicely done. is this from a cardstock kit or did you do the graphics and build it entirely from scratch? thanks, bertiejo
Nice looking tower! I like the semaphores too.

I made it from scratch using MS Paint to draw everything. It's built over a foamcore sub structure. The base is a scrap of Masonite.
Great job looks awesome.
That is very neat! Too bad I can't run sheet metal through my Epson printer - I would love to have one like that made out of steel.
NICE modeling job!
HandyAndy,

I Like the idea, very nice indeed.

Well done!
Your tinplate inspired interlocking tower has a lot of character.
Very appropriate protecting the diamond.
You could add a railing on the porch, which are available from scenic express
Thanks guys. I'm working on gas station now. A cross between a small old time gas station and an old '30's Marx service station.
Another great looking building Andy.
