I have 2 TIU, ID 1 & 2 which were working fine. I want to add a 3rd TIU. I went to change the ID 1 TIU to ID 3 and I get an out of range message quickly followed by a TIU address error message ? I also discovered that each TIU says it's ID 1 (one light blink). The remote does control PS2 engines. I deleted both TIUs, powered only one TIU and added it as ID 1. Then I tried to change that ID 1 to ID 2 using the edit function which resulted in the same two error messages. I also did the same processes with the other TIU with the same no-go results. Any help would be appreciated !!

When you go to edit a tiu address the new address must be available. (open) You may have to delete a tiu to open up the spot.
All TIU's are Rev L. Read function returns TIU 1 not found for either TIU. I tried adding and deleting TIUs. I recieved the error messages when trying to move to a ID 3 which is on the open list along with ID's 4 and 5 when I first started to move ID 1 to ID 3.
Cycle tiu power & check out the blinks again, each blink is the actual tiu number,(as you already know)
make sure the proper tiu (count the blinks) have been added to the remote, try the read again, If you still can't find the tiu it may be time to tether the remote and tiu together with the curly telephone cable. Sounds to me like you're doing everything correctly. Got another remote?
Thanks for your help. I took your advise and counted blinks again. That was part of my error. Also looks like TIU ID 1 did move to ID 3 but with the error messages which added to the confusion. All this result in my TIUs with IDs 2 and 3. No ID 1. I added the new 3rd TIU successfully as ID 1. Also updated all 3 TIUs to version 4.3. Thanks again !!
Hey you're welcome. Fortunately we don't have to do this very often. At least you didn't delete all your engines when deleting a tiu as I did. You can watch them disappear from the remote with no way of stopping. I now use a spare remote for this type of thing. anyway thanks for the comeback... over & out.
