Do you need this mod on your TIU’s that are not rev L?
Don't fix stuff that ain't broke.
This was for the Rev. L, and it was demonstrated by Adrian to be less than a perfect fix in his club environment.
The Rev. L changed something in the DCS carrier interface that made the 74ACT244 driver much more susceptible to voltage spikes. This results in one or more of the paralleled gates being blown and reducing the amplitude of the DCS signal. So far, the previous versions of the TIU have not had a big problem with this chip being damaged.
So is there a certain Rev L date of manufacture or part number I should look for to get one that is the latest and has the service fix already, even though you say it isn't a perfect fix, but is better than a Rev L dated XXXX? I am in the market to get a new TIU so
Maybe some one can help me
I have a TIU and 1 AIU and the remote reads 4 AIU
and the AIU will Not work.
I moved the AIU to a different TIU using same remote and it reads
1 AIU and works fine. So AIU is good I think it is the TIU.
I reset the TIU did another read and comes back 4 AIU.
Is there anything I can do.
You did a factory reset of the TIU? If so, it sounds like there might be an issue with the AIU interface port on the TIU.
Thank you
Is there anyway of fixing the TIU port
It depends, finding out what's wrong with it would be the first step.
So is the bottom line for this subject if your TIU works just run it until the wheels fall off???
