TIU UPGRADE QUESTIONS

I purchased my DCS / TIU in 2010, USED from Trainworld.

The TIU is a REV .H2, which I presume is a really old model. It has served me well. I have a WIU hooked up to it and run it off of my iphone and/or ipad, which, is really cool.

Questions:

1. What year is the TIU from?

1. What is the latest TIU model and would I be better off in acquiring the latest and greatest?

1. And would the newest TIU be compatible with the “PREMIUM” app. OR must I still download firmware into my remote to make it all work?

1. I purchased “Premium” but of course it does not work unless I load the latest FIRMWARE for my REV .H2 TIU. Since I only have an APPLE COMPUTER I can’t do a firmware upload. WILL THERE EVER BE SOFTWARE FOR APPLE COMPUTERS?
