DSCF4481My first time trying to test/use a TMCC equipped Loco, so thinking it is my ignorance not anything wrong with the Loco.

I have a K-Line F-7 ABA set (K25305) bought off eBay they appear to be brand new.  I am powering with a 1950's Lionel KW transformer.  Everything seems to sequence correctly (E-unit) and if I switch to Prog it will lock it as it should.  Rail sounds also work, but don't seem to respond to throttle, horn does work.  Have tried with both cruise on and off.    Have tested the motors on DC they work.  Anyhow can't get the Loco's to move when I throttle up.  I am bench testing, (loco laying on side or top) not on track.

What am I doing wrong?  If not, is there some way to test the "speed control" rectifier/circuit?  Is it very common for these to fail?

Feel stupid, but as they say there are no stupid questions.  Any help would be most appreciated.  Thanks!

Thanks Harry, but it does sequence in RUN.  It doesn't sequence in PROG.  As I think it should.  I added a picture showing it in "Forward".  The upper headlight doesn't seem to work on the lead unit, maybe just burned out, or is that telling me something?  Markers change form red to green as they should, so that is why I am saying the E-Unit works correctly.

Bob - I live in an apartment, so not aware of any other train guys, but who knows?

Chris - I have tried it both ways, Run first, then Prog to see if that would "help".

Is there a way to "clear the memory"?  However, It does see to know I am in conventional.  If I shut it down, when I restart, the sequence starts in Forward (not Neutral) with no 3-8 second delay for the Railsounds.

BTW neither the lead or trailing unit "move", believe each has it own speed control board.  Just can't figure it out since the E-unit is "cycling".  It getting late on the East Coast so signing off for tonight.  I will check back tomorrow.  Thanks to all!
