Need some help! I have a Lionel F3 w/Odessy, it takes off a full speed when I move the throttle. It started out as a sporatic problem, would run fine for a while then would increase speed to derailing speeds, however if I backed off the throttle it would slow down and I could control speed as normal, then after a few minutes would take off at full speed. Now it just takes off at full speed from the git go. I opened her up and found the magnet for the Odyssy broken in 3 pieces. I have glued it back to the motor but that didnt fix the speed problem. I have reset the loco several times but it is still the same. I have also cleand the back of the boards and the pins. Anyone have any thoughts on what may be causing this. Thanks

You found the issue with the broken magnet. Gluing it will not repair it. There are two alternatives with the first buying a replacement motor with the magnet or buying an Electric Railroad Cruise commander and updating the boards. The Cruise commander takes the signal for the Cruise from the motors.
