I have a Weaver RS3 with TMCC and EOB. Every time I activate any function such as the whistle
I get all sounds including crew talk, bell and break sounds. Also if the locomotive runs slowly in will very off stop completely or lose its sounds. It works better at a non prototypical fast speed. Occasionally I also get a short phrase of crew talk that will not stop unless the power is turned off.
Any ideas. Thanks

What power source are you using? Are you putting 18v to the track?

You may want to try removing and reseating the R2LC and the Railsounds boards to see if corrosion on the pins are causing this. I would also ensure the wheels and center rail pick ups are cleaning. For the center rail pickups that includes the inside of the roller that mates with the pin. You can spray a contact cleaner inside the rollers. G
I use a Z 4000, I clean my track almost every day and I run the trains at 18 volts. I run many other tmcc, legacy and PS2 locomotives with no problems.
I'd check the wiring and the integrity of the center rail pickups. Sounds like either a loose pickup or a loose wire connection.
