The 205 is for HO, it may not handle the power requirements for O gauge. You want the 69xx series connector (I think it's 6927?) made for O gauge.
Having said all that, I would recommend toggle switches rated for 10 amps or more. Many have obtained them from auto parts stores. Digi-Key and other electronic supply houses have them. I got mine from Digi-Key for $4-$5 or so each.
What type of toggle would I need to control power to each siding; SPST, SPDT, DPDT or DPST.
I use standard wall light switches from Lowes or Home Depot for all my sidings and the yard. The real cheap ones for less than a buck. I seem to remember 59 cents.
I also use the Atlas 205's for all of my whisker tracks on the turn table. It was easy to wire them up. Since I only have one on at a time, I have not seen a problem thus far (1+ years).
SPST switches are what you need for track power.
Digi-Key SPST switch - # 1091-1022-ND
Digi-Key nomenclature plate (On/Off) - # 432-1241-ND
These are what I used. I liked the handles on these, they are 20 amp. They require crimp quick connects. There are many more options as well as other vendors. There are also switches with screw terminals that may not need crimp connectors.
Light switches would also work just fine, as posted above. However, personally, I wouldn't trust the HO connectors for switching the higher amperages used in O gauge.
I did try the Heavy Duty O gauge connectors and ended up using the toggles instead (my personal preference).
I have heard it mentioned that the DCS base has a 20 amp fuse in it, so to be safe I would go with 15 amp 120 volt rating for switches.
Toggle switches will take up less space, you can get these in SPST, DPDT, SPDT-center off, or momentary contact(spring loaded to release after being pushed).

Can the Atlas HO 205 connector be used for powering yard siding if they are switched under no load.? I understand that switching any load under power can draw an arc and burn the contacts. In the closed position the current through the switch contact is probably between 1 to 3 amp, if the HO 205 cannot support this current load can 6 Amp toggle switches be used for the yard sidings and main line track junctions, I measured the current with an ammeter for a Williams Diesel, 24 NMRA weighted Weaver cars and lite caboose , the measured current on the main line track on an inclined grade was just over 3 Amp. I prefer the smaller toggle switch rather than the large 10 Amp toggle switches for the control panel if needed/recommended I will buy the 10 Amp switches.
