Before I decided to build with Gargraves I bought a butt-load of Lionel Track - lots of O27 and lots of O31 in various radii. I also have some Super-O Track - 13 straights and 27 curved.

I'm also bringing a butt-load of HO track, 3 engines, a few cars and power to the show. (I thought I wanted to mix gauges)

Now the question: Would I be better off bringing this all to an upcoming train show or trying to sell it here?  Will the vendors beat me up?

Sometimes I don't think things completely through before pulling the trigger.

Why would other vendors "beat you up" about anything? I wouldn't go anywhere that promised to have persons intent on "beating me up" in any way.

It's train crap that you want to sell. Isn't that what a train show is partly for? There is often so much at "train" shows for sale that isn't even RR-related (die-cast automobiles and aircraft, for example; I've seen dolls, and I don't mean the females attending the show)....

Well - I bought most of this at a train show.  It's a business for these guys.  The question is how much less  they're going to give me than what I gave them.

The 027 and 031 Tinplate track won't bring you much, most vendors at shows tend to have a ton of it, and given what they charge for it, you won't likely make a lot of money on it. The super O track might bring some decent money from someone who uses it, it also is something of a collector's item, but for that I would recommend not selling that at a show but try on here first. The thing with vendors at a show is unless you have something really rare they can sell for a large amount, they aren't likely going to offer you much, if anything (like the tinplate track). As far as the HO gauge track, prob same thing, the cars and engines depend on what they are, but again like trading in a car you likely aren't going to get much for it. Maybe a vendor will be willing to give you a price on the whole lot, and may be worth it just not to have to sell it, but unless you have some kind of jewel in there (like a rare engine or cars), but I wouldn't count on getting more than a fraction of what you paid for all that, maybe 10,15c on the dollar at most I would guess.
