Hello, can anyone identify this track (brand, approx age, etc.). Anything would be helpful. It has what looks like a compressed fiberboard base that is riveted to the track. Thanks much!

it looks like Lionel that has been riveted to a piece of masonite, but I'm not familial enough with prewar track to say if it's not some other manufacturer's track. But It definitely seems like a manufacturered track that either an individual or a cottage industry added the wood to. Probably for carpet running to keep the grease and oil off the carpet.
It is pre war American Flyer.
Thank you Will. There are no markings / labeling anywhere to determine the brand, unless it's between the track bottom and the fiberboard base.

American Flyer Prewar. See here. The track is usually seen with a fourth rail for their whistle, but regular three rail with the base was also produced.
It is of limited interest and in low demand, but is somewhat hard to find (not rare), so I would guess that it would be around $1.20 each in decent, useable condition; maybe $1.50 each if it is exceptional.
If you had a full circle of 12, or some harder-to-find straights, someone might go to $2.00 a piece for very nice, immaculate track. Any damage to the track or roadbed and/or rust puts it in the $1 or less range, as would substantially missing pins. The four-rail whistle-track version likely has a small premium (around $0.40). Normal AF 3Rail tubular ranges from $0.25-$0.80 each, largely in concordance with all types and styles of used tubular track.
Note that opinions will vary, but the above seems fair and adequate as a general guideline.

thanks for the answer without the guesswork...
Wow, that is awesome you knew that. Thank you much! Any idea what 11 pieces of curved may be worth?
Thank you very much for your help and the detailed information!
