Hi! had to replace traction tires on two older MTH steamers - NW J and NYC Niagara.  These locomotives are from 15+ years ago, but are still great!  The J was fairly easy but the Niagara was a real bear, with piping and brake shoes making it really difficult to get traction tire on the wheel.  However, I finally was successful - a combination of a small flat-head screwdriver, lots of patience and luck prevailed.   Now, I need to get additional traction tire replacements from the MTH folks at York.  Hope they have the sizes I need.  A number of my other older steamers likely will need them.  Want to get all of these old engines going!
