Anyone have pictures, ideas for trailer parks? Suggestions? I'm tired of building 'Streets trucks and buses and decided to give that a rest for a while.
I've wanted to build a "tacky trailer park" in 1:48 for a while. I know: terribly politically incorrect and all that, but . . . it's going to happen. I have a nice MTH (I think) trailer with skirt, etc., and a kit of three Bachman trailers seem smaller than scale, and definitely less than super detailed that I will augment and bash to scale. And of course, how difficult is it to scratch build a mobile home - I mean, it's a box, right?
The picture below shows the single most memorable and fun I have ever done in model railroading. From 22 years, the first "thing" I built in O-gauge: Tacky Timbers, a 1:160th scale trailer park that works every cliche and negative image about trailer parks there is. It's 12 by 15 inches, and about half kit and scratch build. I spent a lot of time learning to build in N and it took forever, but I had fun. I want something like this on a 32 x 20 inch "empty field" I have now, in 1:48.
