Judging from the laughter at the end, it seems the whole thing was a success!

Certainly does, sounded like someone got a real charge out of that one. How old was the one laughing? It's just great when they laugh like that.
I wouldn't expect any less from a Demo Guy. Good Job!
Outstanding!!!!

That's a good age. Glad he is enjoying the trains and Lincoln logs (also good for the younger brother to have some fun too).
WestinghouseEMDDemoguy,
Yep you live up to the Westinghouse Demo Reputation & it sounds like you have one in training also! Great stuff!

The best thing about that type of stuff is that it was fun at age six, and it still fun sixty years later!
Wonderful
It's how things are supposed to be. FUN, FUN, FUN!

There is nothing like listening to the delightful squeal of a young one when they are watching trains run and especially when they crash. Boy, that video brings back some great memories. A high speed run away steam locomotive crashing into Lincoln Logs and running over little rubber army men always provided a great deal of excitement. Ahhh, Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear.
…And, a hearty Hi-Ho Silver!
That is a great video, and the laughter of your son is priceless. I will admit that it reminds me of running my Lionel and AF trains on a double 027 oval in the attic when I was about 7 or 8. My "scenery" was Lincoln Log structures (along with the trestles made out of stacked Hardy Boys books) and I still remember building a few log tunnels where the engine didn't "quite" fit through the opening, scattering the logs into smithereens. None of the pieces ever were actually broken, though.
Enjoy your family- that's what it is all about.
My 11 year old figured out that HEXBug Nanos fit perfect between the rails on FasTrack. Needless to say they were running for their life from my VL BB the other day. I didn't think to take a video. Have also built tunnels with the 2 year old's Mega Blocks.
3 hours of smash and crash - It was great! We only have this small oval of 0-36 at home. I typically run the trains on a club layout which of course does not allow this type of fun. I need to get more Fasttrack for home so we can be a bit more "creative".
WestinghouseEMDDEMO,
Stuff like this turns little boys into major company professional engineers, from East Pittsburgh Westinghouse to the LA Michoud NASA Plant, to HSD United Technologies my Professional Welding Engineering Career spanned, because my Grandfather and Father took the time with me, that you are taking with your son.
Listening to him in the background, you are one of the luckiest men alive, treasure every minute, you have been blessed beyond your imagination.

Young minds are full of very creative ideas. Us adults should pay closer attention to them and really try to enjoy them while we can. Kids are great!
Well, this has solidified my idea. I have been "toying" with the idea of a Lincoln Log tunnel. Think, I'll have to go garage sale-ing soon. I'd hate to pay retail for new Lincoln Logs. Bob S.

Oh come on Bob, didn't they just move the manufacturing back to the U.S.? This may a be rare opportunity to support the American Worker.
Bob,
Actually I believe Matthew is correct, the new LL's are now being made in the USA, from what I was told, so Bob crack open the big safe, blow off some of that old money, and support a good American Company, I believe the LL's are available from Toy R US now. Might have to build a LL structure myself, for the Christmas layout next year.

Mine is all new money. I'll have to check with the master printer to see if the ink has dried.
OH, I forgot. The money is all American made.
