Know any famous/funny/interesting train quotes?

"I knew I was going to take the wrong train, so I left early" ..... Yogi Berra

(I was kinda looking for a way to mention Yogi's death. At 5'7" ... a giant of a baseball player ... but also, and much more importantly, a giant of a human being. RIP, Yogi)

Here's a few flying around the internet today

On fan mail: "Never answer an anonymous letter."

On being told he looked cool: "You don't look so hot yourself."

On being asked what time it was: "You mean now?"

On being given a day in his honor: "Thank you for making this day necessary."

On a spring training drill: "Pair off in threes."

I'm a Mets fan and Yogi was the Mets manager from back in the 1970's when he took them to the World Series (1973 I think).

Some of the funnier lines I heard today was when Yogi was at the White House for some award with then President George W. Bush, who once was involved in baseball with the Texas Rangers. President Bush, sometimes known to massacre a few phrases, was pretty funny saying that Yogi was actually "an inspiration for him!" Then he went on to say that, "Some members of the White House Press Corps think that Yogi is my speech writer!"

I have been trying to find the story when he said that. It had to do with him learning the subways and taking the train to the stadium to get to a big game.

I watched him on TV as a guest on a show that was honoring pitcher Whitey Ford.  The host asked Yogi to tell a story about Whitey's pitching.  Yogi said that in one game the first batter hit the first pitch for a single.  The next batter hit the first pitch for a single.  The third batter hit the first pitch for a double.  Casey Stengal called timeout and went to the mound with Yogi to talk to Whitey Ford.  Casey asked Yogi how did Whitey's pitches look?  Yogi told Casey I don't know, I haven't caught any yet.
