As most of you may know who live in Southern California, the Train Stop in San Dimas is closing.  The owner died two years ago and the wife has been running the business.  I went over there this past weekend to see if they had any more K-Line Ringling Bros. cars and noticed the 50% off sale on everyting in the store.  There is still a large inventory of O-gauge/O-scale products there.  I picked up another K-Line car. There are also some nice engines there for sale, both diesel and steam, of newer and older vintage.  I have no dog in this hunt.  I am just saying for those who live in So Cal you may want to swing by and see if they have anything you may want at a pretty good discount.  For those who live out of state you will have to call and I believe they will ship.

Yes... They will definitely ship.  I purchased a couple of items -- probably about a year ago now.

Locals definitely have the browsing advantage though, 'cause the website inventory is not updated -- nor is it really representative of everything that the store stocks.  As I recall, the latest items stocked came from the Lionel 2011 catalogs -- stuff like the ES44's with die cast shells.  Understandably, after Paul passed away, no newer inventory was purchased.

Best to call if you're looking for something special.

Train Stop will ship under the following conditions. If you are an established customer we will accept a Visa or Mastercard. If not payment must be in the form of a bank issued cashiers check or USPS money order. This is due to a S gauger in AZ that bought a sealed in the master shipping carton AF loco. He claimed it had been run and was broken so he filed a claim with the cc company, they gave him his money back after first siding with the store, and the customer kept the loco and the money. Hence the cashier check / money order policy. Remember there are no holds, and all sales are final.

Lastly, the web site IS NOT maintained, Paul did that and was the only one that knew how to make things work. If you see something on the site give us a call and someone will check to see if it is still in stock.

I suggest not waiting too long since dealers are showing up and buying in bulk since they can buy the Lionel and Flyer below cost.

Regards,

Randall
