IMO, it takes one heck-of-a-guy to wear a bowtie, nowadays, a man who is rock-solid sure of himself. "Dorkness" isn't even in the same room. And judging from the great smile you have, Peter, the handsome layouts you have shown us, and those wonderful,  wonderful children of yours, you have it all figured out.  I salute you!

Frank, I agree with you on all that.  The short professor who always sports a bow tie I mentioned earlier is that kind of man.  The students think he is cool!!

My kids call me "the dork with the bow tie and the nerd glasses". It doesn't't bother me in the least. It's taken me years to perfect this look!

I wanted to share my very limited fashion sense with the group. One of my bow tie suppliers (BeauTies of Vermont) has put out a train bow tie with a Christmas theme. Mine came today.

Peter, really neat, Great tie.  When first seeing this speculated if "real" or fake clip-on.  Bur thought would not think Peter would go to clip-on route.  This was asked and answered.

Real bow ties are fun.  Back in the mid-90's worked in an environment where shirt and tie were expected if you were to get professional recognition.  So bought and learned to tie a bow.  When started to wear it occasionally drew some attention.  Then someone told the speculation that it was a clip-on.  So started coming to work with it untied tucked under collar.  Sometime in the morning would tie it in my work space or wait till a mens room break.  Once while in the mens room supervisor came in remarking many thought it a fake clip-on.  Retorted  NO like me nothing fake!

Now for the life of me probably cannot tie one.

Accuracy is a good quality in an attorney. You should ask them if they consider your wallet to be "dorky".

True Ron!  I started out using a slide rule for calculations in college.  Once several years ago I brought a slide rule in to work to show a much younger coworker who was curious.  For the life of me I couldn't calculate a thing!!

For better or worse I think most folks would say of me, What you see is what you get!  I think that is true of Peter too!  A genuine guy!
