I built a small American Flyer layout a year ago using fastrack and a 180 watt transformer with power controller. It worked beautifully with my conventional Flyer locos. Then I discovered Legacy and I was hooked. I loved having the ability to walk around the layout and control the trains so I had to buy a Powermaster in order to run BOTH Legacy and conventional albeit not at the same time. So...my question is what do I do with the original power controller? I was using the accessory side to power my switches (I like throwing the levers) since I originally wasn't using Legacy. Fortunately, I had a small 40 watt transformer that came with my Docksider set and since there is only two terminals I have to set the throttle at full in order to operate the switches. Am I missing something? Is there something I should do differently? It all works for me now, but if I can make it better I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!
