Hi,

I have a newer mth Christmas trolley, but it keeps derailing. It worked fairly well last year and only derailed occasionally. Anyone else have this issue? Since it seems to work better when I lightly put my hand on top of it, I’m thinking of adding weight. Appreciate your thoughts. Merry Christmas!

Make sure that the center rail pickup isn't catching on something.

The 2021 manual shows the typical offset pick ups. Not the newer vertical type.

Additional weight will help. With a small can motor and plastic body, I'm sure they are relatively light.

When something needs weight, I usually use self-adhesive wheel weights for balancing automobile wheels.  The adhesive is tenacious, and they come in 1/4 ounce size, so it's easy to add small increments and spread them around.

If the center pickups are as shown in that manual, be sure that they move up and down freely.
