What are you using to clean your track? Is it clean & dry?

Denatured alcohol. Yes

The number 41 & 51 switchers were only designed to pull 2-3 cars.

How about some more info:

                      1. What type of locomotive and model number ( i.e. Lionel, Mth, Williams, etc model # )

                      2. What type of cars (.i.e. passenger,freight, make and model#)

                      3. Track and  Curve Radius ( i.e. Lionel tubular, fastrack , atlas , gargraves etc etc  o27,036, 042 etc etc)

                      4.  Conventional or Command control/ Transformer type
