Took a break from dealing with my basement floor and worked on getting the turntable up and operational. My son (age 6) as always was a huge help.

Very nice Thanks for posting

Looking good. Whose turntable??
It's a Bowser that I purchased years ago and never unboxed until just recently.
I purchased the drive system a couple months ago from Millhouse River.
I have the indexing system from Boswer. I'm undecided at this point on installing it. It is incredibly easy to line up now with the Millhouse River drive.
Next step is to detail it. I have the bag of parts from Bowser, but no instructions. Some of it is obvious. How the deck is supported is not obvious with the parts that I have, I'm left scratching my head. If anybody has a Bowser turntable that is detailed I would love some photos on how the deck is supported.
Trevize,
I located my set of instructions for my the Bowser turntable which includes the bridge deck kit details. Let me know if you still need them and I will try and scan them in and e-mail out to you. I can also take photos of my turntable if you wish.
I believe Bowser had two deck packages, one for standard Lionel track, and one for track a bit more realistic. I did this with Atlas track and Kappler Lumber (KP1186-OP24) (10"X 12" scale, .208"X.250"X 24") that fit between the ties. Small notches (3) had to be cut under each rail in the top of the extended cross ties. Once the longer cross ties were in place, decking and handrails was not a problem.
Pictured is the Bowser electrical arch structure, with a modified mounting lower on the structural side beams.

I had to order more handrail post there were not enough in the kit.
Perfect. I've ordered my lumber! :-)

That would be great! I'd love a set of instructions.
Nice and smooth...who's engine is that, Sunset?
Thanks :-)
Both are 3rd Rail Sunset models with MTH PS/2 upgrade kits installed.
Well that sure worked nice! Nice steam also
Clem
The engines are beautiful.
Smooth operation for sure. Wish it was on my layout
Trevize nice progress on your turntable build. I'm glad the drive is working out well for you. Thanks for the update.
