i have the regular old polar express cars from the set that are smooth on top. i know there's a "heavier" one that is a lot more expensive. not sure what that type is called. on the bay, i'm seeing "madison". these seem to have different silhouette's and "stacks" on top. how many different "type" of pe cars are out there? i know there are several different engines. pics if you got them, jeff

To follow up on Bill's comments, the original PE set introduced in 2004 (when the movie was released) are what is comely referred to as "baby Madison" coaches with silhouette window treatments. Lionel, in conjunction with the introduction of their scale 1225 Berkshire and Polar Express scale tender, released scale type Heavyweight passenger PE cars with detailed interiors. The original PE cars are easy to come by, but the scale PE Heavyweights, are a different story.
from looking at the "madison" pe cars on ebay, they are different cars than what they are producing now. thanks for all your assistance, jeff
