Sorry for the shakey video.  Hard to control the "drone helicopter" (handheld camera) with one hand, while eyeing the remote in other hand to press buttons .

This was actually done at request of my wife's elderly  aunt, who could not navigate stairs, so I quick videoed it then played it on our big TV.  She was delighted with it.  So thought might as well upload it for what its worth.  Have a second part that just continues video and parks the engines.

Glad people enjoyed it!!

Nice RRMAN.  Love those crossing gates.

I've been considering the Lemax carnival rides.  I've read good and bad about them.  Do you find the motors reliable?  How long have you been running those rides?  Is there anything you would recommend?

The merry go round is not Lemax product but works well. Has switch for Christmas or carousel music.  The tilt a Whirl works OK no problem (knock on wood).  The Ferris Wheel is problematic with the wheel lights flickering or some not lighting.  Unfortunately there is no easy non destructive way into the housing to fix/clean/ retension the brushes(?) that contact wheels lights, so I just treat flickering as "bonus".

I only run rides if there are visitors, figuring these are not made for all day running.

I have not found any one else than Lemax that makes animated rides even though they are out of proportions.

Your layout looks terrific - I noticed at the beginning of the video you had walls that were bent somewhat along the upper and lower levels.  I have the same type walls - how did you bend them to fit the curve of the track??

Paul

These are non-rigid "soft flexiable" foam walls (Pennsylvania block) forgot vendor name (Scenic Express??) but regularly featured in OGR ads.  I used a heat gun on low heat then bent piece around one of those really large industrial size food cans used for bulk beans, fruits etc.  I did not rush it, but bent it, let cool, then reheat, more bending so wall would not crack.  Each time I test fitted to curve then slightly over bent it so it would flatten against the curve.

I then Gorilla glued Velcro hook strips to wall back and stapled the Velcro fuzzy to layout plywood curve.  This allows me to remove the wall in case I need access to the ride transformers and controls.
