Unusual AF Accessory | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Can anyone identify this AF accessory? It has an AF ID plate, but it's not shown in David Durham's AF book. It may be a homemade kit-bashed item created by an AF fan who wanted to "fly the flag" for A.C. Gilbert on a home layout. Comments welcome.

That is an accessory made and marketed at least 20 years ago by an American Flyer S gauge collector and dealer here in Wisconsin. (His name escapes me at the moment) You could order them from him in kit form. You provided the tower (769) and he provide you with the top and wiring and a diagram of how to assemble it. I have one like it, but in red.
