Matt, This is why our hobby will never die call it a combination of good parenting skills on the part of T's Mom or should I say her brilliant idea of stating a blog about it! Call it being in the right place at the right time! It's incredible! The theory of "you build it and they shall come" advanced by a popular baseball movie holds here, I believe! Congratulations Angel's Gate Hi Railers! All in this hobby are in your debt, now that you have a link to her website it is up to you how to follow it up with more thrilling contacts in your future! Congratulations as well for those of us in this hobby who have been doing this all along, and for those who wish it would be done in our respective areas may this serve as a template for all of us to get our communities involved! Well done Matt. Our club has a "Can You Find It" form and we give out little plastic train whistles. The parents have more fun with the form.

Kudos for a job very well done

This is the kind of exposure that our hobby needs and it is starting to happen all over the place.  The love of Trains is starting to reveal itself once again in this Age of Instant Gratification of Technological playthings that our kids have adapted themselves too.  It is still pleasing for me to show off my trains and to get a smile or a grin from a person who sees my Holiday layout and it really delights me when they ask if I can run them.  It is a warmth and feeling that is hard to explain.
