UP 44 Tonner?

LCCA,

When the devoted and famous "Lou Caponi" was still with us, He mentioned in an OGR posting of a possible Lionel Union Pacific 44 ton switcher with an American flag on its side being produced by Lionel for the LCCA. Any chance this might bear fruit in the future? Thanks.

Just speaking from my own opinion, not sanctioned from the LCCA, I highly doubt it. When was the last time Lionel made a run of the '44' ton switchers? I think the Rock Island was the last one, sometime around 1995. The Lou Caponi era is gone, and not likely we will ever see some of the neat operating accessories that were planned either.
