On a popular auction site one can find Lionel AF replacement shells for various ES44 and SD70 models. Some are for powered units, some are for unpowered units. Has anyone tried to mount a different body shell to a powered chassis for variety or powering a dummy to have two powered, same road name units? What was your experience particularly with a dummy shell mated to a powered chassis? Thanks for any inputs.

I asked that seller if the lights, connectors, and rear cover over the smoke and program/run switch were included since they cannot be seen in the photo. The terse response was what you see is what you get.
Chuck, a few have the rear cover included. I figure that there would be some kind of lighting on the dummies. I am wondering about shell screw patterns and steps etc. Hoping some enterprising soul has tried this.....

I recently bought a new shell from the same person I believe. When I asked about the rear cover, that's the exact response I got also.
I was not impressed by lack of communication.

The non-powered units do not have lights.
