I am currently running DCS and have updated the TIU and the Remote to 6.1. I recently purchased the DCS WiFI Digital Command System (MTH 50-1036) and I would like to swap out the TIU I am currently using with the new Wifi System including swapping out the TIU's. I still want to use the remote along with the DCS APP so my concern is will the remote still continue to function as is or do I need to remove all of the engines that are on it including the TIU and re-add everything under the new TIU. The main reason I want to do this is make sure the new DCS WiFI System works while it is still under warranty.

My other concern is what release of DCS is on the new TIU.

Thanks,

6.10 is the latest version of DCS and you don't have to  do any deleting on your remote.  Just make sure you don't add any engines into you phone or pad with the same address ID number. You probably should make a list of your engines with the address numbers to make sure this doesn't happen. You can change the engine address to be the same as the remote by using the menu/system/engine setup/edit engine/edit address

There is no need to change the TIU, the Wi-Fi will work fine with it.  My TIU is rev G and it works great.

Depending on how old the Wi-Fi unit is you may need to upgrade the firmware.  Before you install it, read the instruction book section under LUCI.  Use LUCI to check the firmware - you need ver 1.1 to work well with TIU ver 6.1.  You can download 1.1 from MTH.  Follow the instructions to install it (actual install time is 1 minute, give or take).

Your remote will work exactly the same as it has.  Using the app, your phone or tablet acts like another controller on the system.
