I thought l would post a picture, the effect of using the 12v LED strips on my Flyer layout. I took this photo to demonstrate to a friend how cool the strips could look in the Flyer terminal and figured why not share it here. I grant you this is with the room lights off but it looks good with lights on.

Looks good Ray. Those led strip lights that come in rolls are super adaptable....cut to any size you need.
LED strips are a marvelous creation for all sorts of lighting. 
The lighting improves the appearance of the train sheds.

Yes John, I have them all over the layout, plasticville houses, mounted to the roof, I put them in my bashed plasticville stripmall. Their use in the coaches and cabeese is well publicized. I have very little use of incandescent lights anywhere on the entire layout and those few will be exchanged for LEDs in the future, very little heat and draw so little power.
