The mailman left the comfort of his car to trudge up my driveway in a blizzard just to deliver my copy of Veranda Turbine A Life to my door!!  He knew this was the most important delivery of the year!!

Just flipping trough it a bit, it looks great!  Lee, you must have been working on this for a long time.  My wife thought it was great when I explained what you have been doing.  She says you have a great imagination!  She also likes your puns.

Thank you!  I did work on it quite a long time, including going through it six times looking for mistakes and typos, which was not enough.  There are still a few typos, minor ones like in any book, that don't bother me that much, but I must have had a brain hiccup when I was proofing page 72, because there are two embarrassing mistakes that I knew better:  I refer to a toy locomotive that is clearly a 4-6-2 in Plate 24 as a 2-6-4, and worse, several lines below that if refer to Madison Hardware as having been on 34th Street, when I knew it was on 23rd - I think I got confused - I used to walk to it from Grand Central Station on 34th when I would come into the city.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.  And yes, I had a lot of fun with the puns and jokes.
