Shows how far we have come with passenger car details. No under frame painting and no beading on roof monitor curve ends for instance.

I always enjoy your  vintage posts, but this one on passenger cars is a time capsule of where we were before I was even born.

I have restored  a few cars, from the next period of Walthers cars, ( Late 40's through the 70's )  and they are beautiful, they bring a new meaning to the term heavy weights. (They are not light)   I would love to fine some of these  early models with the  brass and bronze components .

I had a Lobaugh brass/bronze RPO.  Tried to give it away twice - I think I succeeded, but if not, it is yours.

Bronze and brass is great! ..heavy but great ..,
