For the weekend of July 3-5 I was in the company of Norfolk & Western 611 while it was running trips out of Roanoke. I rode both the Powhatan Arrow and the Pelican. On the days I did not ride it I chased it along the mainline. Turn up the sound for some excellent steam sounds, whistles, and stack talk!
