The secret ingredients: laborious effort and meticulous attention to detail....vs. the race against time, to get something together and running.

...or simply opening up a box and putting it on the track.

I understand that a lot of people just don't have the time to build, but I really think that you are missing out on a wonderful aspect of the hobby if all you have time for is "plug and play".

As always, and as "bob2" (a great builder himself) says..."opinion". 🙂

Purplepapa     I found the first two cars, on Ebay locally. They where sold at auction initially, in a boxed lot of random things. The man who acquired the auctioned box, got what he wonted, and the Label cars where surplus to his needs, so to Ebay they went, and so I have them. Then I met another gentlemen through Ebay again, living in Tasmania, he sold me some nice Atlas cars. He explained he would be in Adelaide to handle an estate. I met with him, and there was a large pill of brass O scale locos that he was keeping, but a few bits he didnt wont. I purchased the pieces I liked and he through in a Label observation car, without trucks, well it matches the cars Ive showed, down to the lettering. It needs work so I didn't show it. I often feel an unseen support in my hobby.        cTr....( Choose the Right )
