Tuesday, on the way to Meredith, NH, my wife and I stopped overnight in Schenectady, NY. On the way to our motel we drove by the General Electric sign that Miller Engineering used for the design of their lighted sign. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of it.

I also had the opportunity to visit fellow OGR Magazine Section Gang member Jim Policastro. We had a great time talking and running trains. I took quite a few photos (90) of his layout. You can find the link to the photos in the "What's New" box on my web site.

Yesterday we took a two hour train ride on the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad in Meredith, NH. The link to the photos can also be found in the "What's New" box.

We are now in Manchester, NH to visit with friends we were stationed with while in the military. We will not be meeting up with them until this evening.

Today, forum member JimQ, will be taking me to see Marty FitzHenry's layout and the Boston Metro Hi-Railers layout in MA.

Guys, I'm glad that you enjoyed the photos. Jim was a great host and we really had a great time.

Jim, thank you again for having me over. It was a great evening.

D&H 65, My wife and I rode the Winnipesaukee RR in Meredith on Wednesday. I don't foresee doing the Mt. Washington Cog Railroad. My wife seen pictures of it and said I would have to go without her.

I live in Schenectady and this past Monday went to NH on vacation too.  Went to Lincoln in the beginning of the week.  At Lincoln is the Hobo Railroad and Clarks Traiding Post where the White Mtn Central is located.  Went to the Hobo a found out the Flying Yankee is being restored and housed there.  Tried to get a look at it but it was under cover and would not be displayed until August.  I understand there is a Shay at Clarks but it too was inside and not to be seen.  Wednesday went to the Cog and took that up to the top of Mt Washington.  Thursday and Friday we stayed in Weirs Beach which was not far from you.  Saw the train run by several times, the Alco loco pulling it built right here in Sch'dy.  My vacation is done, I hope you continue to have a good time on the rest of yours

I was in Meredith a couple of times last week. Also visited the Conway Scenic and grabbed a pice of coal as big as a melon. Got bored and visited Hartmann's on Friday. Bought some back issues of MR there and also from Klickety Klack. Back home after a glorious two weeks of vacation at the lake house in NH.
