Getting close to finishing up my new bedroom layout. The mainlines are operating conventionally with PW transformers and PM-1 powermasters to enable use of a CAB-1.  Next step is the Command Base.

This is my first full layout using powermasters. I noticed that the voltage readings are lower than expected but then remembered my one modern transformer (Lionel BW) shows lower voltage readings because it produces a chopped sine wave. I believe the powermasters also yield a chopped sine wave and would, therefore, show lower voltage readings than the 19V my LW's are showing at the terminal posts.

Am I right? I don't want to go into a panic checking all the connections if the lower voltage readings (16-17V) are expected.
