Hi,Im looking to go half way around a small room off the wall using a 12 inch wide plywood sections.Is this wide enough for two sets of track using 042 curves(my min.)fastrack three inches wide.Or will this be overkill to wide? any suggestions or input running o scale mth premier.

Dont think its doable. You'll want to be at least 3" from the wall for clearance in the corners, and fastrack runs 6" on center (you need to check what you have, because there is no O42 fastrack, its 36, 48, 60 and 72).
If you set the edge of the track 3" from the wall the center is at about 4.5, 6" to the center of the next one is 10.5 and you're basically hanging off the edge.
I would do 16" just to be safe as a minimum to keep anything from falling off the table, but even at 16", scenery space will be sparse.
