Nice video. Had not seen this process before. In the 1980s, many bananas were still being shipped in bundles like the field workers were carrying on their shoulders. They were hung with the fingers pointed down and each one usually had at least one huge spider living inside. In Nashville, TN we (ADT) had a customer who imported bananas in this forma and hung them in their banana house to ripen. We offered Alarm Service Response (armed alarm investigators) back then and the last place they wanted to go at night was to that banana house because those giant spiders came out at night looking for water and food. The ASIs would rather confront an armed thief.
