It is with great sadness that we lost a fine man...Wayne Renga.  As many of you know, Wayne developed what he called the "BCR" (battery component replacement) which was used successfully to eliminate the problems early locomotives had with the batteries that came factory installed.  He was a pleasant and knowledgeable person who was a long time supporter of OGR and loved the hobby.   He will be greatly missed.... His obituary is below:

Wayne E. Renga

Wayne was a good friend of mine and lived only a few miles away from me.  When I was TCA National President back in 2011 I helped him out with some legal issues with his BCR's.  I bought over 40 BCR's from him over the years.  Since then we have been good friends.  I will miss him a lot.  Best wishes to his family.

Wayne, Rest in Peace.

Several years back I had an MTH engine that needed some repair and at York I asked Wayne if he did repair work, He said yes. We chatted about what was wrong and he cited a few possible issues and a worst case scenario with a price. Well he fixed the engine and Wayne's price was fair and well below that worst case scenario. I had him fix a few more for me and some friend over the years. Well miss him at York.

My condolences to Wayne's family.  This is A GREAT LOSS to all of us.  Fine man in every respect.  The BCR was a real life saver for many an engine, many an invested dollar, and preserved them for many hours of fun.  Am sure, beyond ma doubt, God has reserved a special place in heaven for someone who helped so many on earth.

Many thanks to everyone offering condolences.   Wayne already is greatly missed, as family and friends are regrouping and continuing his BCR legacy.

J and W Electronics is continuing to sell the ORIGINAL, safe, battery replacement for MTH engines, to prevent " frying" the board when starting your engine with a low or dead battery.   And the BCR LASTS FOREVER!! Replace the battery with a BCR, put your engine on the track and power up at 10 volts.  Wait 1 minute then you're ready to run! Continue to use the J& W website, or phone 717-417-2820 to order.

Again, thank you to all!  Happy training!!
