I like the NKP railroad but run traditional-size O-Gauge and have been having a hard-time coming up with NKP rolling stock beyond what I own.  I've seen some Weaver 2-bay hoppers on an auction site that are described as 1/48" scale but, dimensionally, they look like they might appear acceptable on a traditional layout.  Any thoughts or pictures?  The only pics I've seen are of them inside a box.

Thanks!

Overall dimensions Weaver 2-Bay Hopper Car are 2-11/16 inches top of carbody to top of rail, 9 inches overall length carbody, overall width of carbody 2-5/8 inches. You may consider making a cardboard box mockup of these dimensions and compare this mockup to the locomotive. Note, traditional size hopper cars are available, the NKP hopper cars are painted black, the problem is obtaining NKP decals if they are available.

Hope this helps in your evaluation.

They are short cars, but surprisingly wide (but that's the scale part).  I like mine, not sure if it would look good with traditional stuff because of the width.  If you are able to look over that issue, they're real nice cars and I'd highly recommend any weaver items.  I have a Pere Marquette and a PRR 2 bay hopper and a N&W TOFC.  They all look great, and are made in the USA.
